What SAS is all about:
College ReadinessSAS students are placed in honors and AP courses. Students are connected to numerous college opportunities including Mission College courses on the SHS campus.
In 9th grade students take Honors English 9, Honors Biology, Honors Math, Media and Technology, PE, and a Foreign Language. ASP classes are also smaller and offer more support and guidance. Our teachers work with students one on one and never give up on them. |
LeadershipSAS students are molded into strong leaders. Students have numerous opportunities to lead projects. They present their work to varies audiences. Their digital portfolio/ website allows students to demonstrate their leadership and creativity to a global audience. Students work individually and in teams to push their skills to the next level.
|
CreativitySAS believes that creativity makes students stand out. Because of this, students choose their own projects. Projects are challenging, allowing students to feel successful by the time they finish, while learning in the process. Some projects include making movies, photography, research, web design, comics, and much more.

All projects were created under the guidance of Ms. Angelina Garcia at Sylmar High School
